Marc Hall Design Proudly Supported PFLAG at “Pride and Passion” Event

Yesterday Marc Hall Design had the pleasure of supporting Greater Boston PFLAG’s (Parents, Families, and Friends of LGBTQ People) “Pride and Passion” event held at the Seaport World Trade Center’s Commonwealth Hall.

The event was the organization’s largest annual fundraiser and it included: a fabulous cocktail hour featuring fun bites by restaurants such as Sweet Cheeks Q, Blue Ginger, Barking Crab, 80 Thoreau, Ashmont Grill, and Harvest; a live auction with prizes such as a one week stay for six in Puerto Rico, four tickets to see Taylor Swift in LA, and a dining experience for twelve at the Boston Public Library served by The Catered Affair; and a speaking program.

Honorees of the night included retired NBA star Jason Collins, whose coming out and eventual signing with the Nets led him to become the first openly gay athlete to play in any of the four major North American sports leagues, and House Representative Joe Kennedy III, a long time friend of Collins’.

The Cuisine Chair of the night was “Top Chef” alum Tiffani Faison of “Sweet Cheeks Q” who also designed the delicious Savory Course. Her new restaurant, Tiger Mama, will be opening up in July.

Our founder Marc was honored as the Botanical Chair of the night and his major contribution consisted of leading a collective of talented designers in executing a color-coordinated centerpiece concept during the dining portion. The fabulous design firms included were Orly Khon Floral, Table & Tulip, New Leaf Flores, and John LaRoche for blueGuava.
